*flour (for rolling)
Filling Paste
2 Tbs Cinnamon
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
100g Melted butter (for filling)
Method
- Preheat oven to 160°C
- Follow instructions on mamasdonutsmix from step 1 to step 3
- Spread filling paste over dough
- Roll up the entire piece of dough
- Cut roll of dough into even pieces (approx. 1 inch)
- Lay pieces flat in lined oven tray; leave 2cm space between for rising
- Let rise till double in size in a warm place
- Bake at 160°C for 30min or until golden

Coconut Buns

For Coconut sauce
1 tin coconut cream
(mamas loves the Kara brand)
same tin of water
1 C sugar
Options
Replace water with coconut milk for a richer taste

Best enjoyed HOT!
Perfect for a cold winter dessert
This is mamas take on a traditional coconut bun
Method
- Preheat oven to 160°C
- Follow the mamasdonutsmix instructions from step 1 and step 2
- Once risen, turn dough out onto lightly floured bench
- Fold dough over to form a rectangle
- Cut into even sized pieces (12–24)
- Roll into balls and place in oven tray; leave 2cm space between for rising
- Let rise till double in size in a warm place
- Pour Coconut sauce over buns (cover at least half way; any remaining sauce, use half way through cook time)
- Bake in the oven at 160°C for 30min or until golden brown

Hot Cross Buns

Pastry brush (for glaze)
Ingredients
mamasdonutsmix
2 T mixed spice
3/4 C sultanas/raisins/chocolate chips
Flour (for dough)
Paste for crosses
Combine water and flour to make a thick paste
Method
- Preheat oven to 160°C
- Follow the mamasdonutsmix instructions from step 1 and step 2. BUT…at step 2, add the spice mix and sultanas/choc chips
- Once risen, turn dough out onto floured bench
- Fold dough over to form a rectangle
- Cut into even sized pieces (12–24)
- Roll into balls and place in oven tray; leave 2cm space between for rising
- Let rise till double in size in a warm place
- Fill piping bag with paste; pipe crosses over risen buns
- Bake in the oven at 160°C for 30min or until golden brown
- Glaze with melted jam (mamas loves apricot jam) while still hot

Flour (for rolling dough)

Pasta sauce, grated cheese, corn, meat, capsicum, basil, pesto, garlic, onion, herbs, pineapple, ANYTHING!

These are a great way to use leftovers
Perfect homemade snack for school lunches; freezes well
Pairs nicely with hot winter soups
Method
- Follow mamasdonutsmix instructions from steps 1 to 3. EXCEPT…replace butter with oil AND leave egg out
- Cut rectangle in half lengthwise creating 2 rectangle pieces
- Add filling along the centre of each piece
- Roll up the entire piece of dough
- Cut roll of dough into even pieces (approx. 1 inch)
- Lay pieces flat in lined oven tray; leave 2cm space between for rising
- Let dough rise till double in size in a warm place
- Bake @ 160°C for 30min or until golden brown
