We’re Rach and Matt Jaunay, owners of Mamas Dunedin kitchen.
We are based in Hamilton but we love Dunedin as our second home.
When our son started uni and we visited Dunedin we fell in love with the place. We had a crazy cool idea to open a mamasdonuts kitchen in Dunedin. We love how Dunedin has fallen in love with mamas too and look forward to making more memories in the community with all of you.

Welcome to Mamas Tauranga, our second donut kitchen.
Our goal was always to have a 2nd kitchen within 5 years of opening our first and we were led to the beautiful Bay of Plenty. Our Tauranga team of mana wāhine are known for their strengths in overcoming obstacles. Not only do they make the most delicious donuts, but they have so much aroha for our Tauranga community. We are grateful for Mamas Elle and Atheena for leading this special team.

Mamas started with Mama Bec and Rach and their families. Bec and Oli have 5 children and 6 mokos. Rach and Matt have 7 children and 4 mokos; so the name “mamas” was a no brainer.
During the six years of selling donuts from the back of our vans and caravan, word spread like wildfire and the need for a kitchen was paramount. In 2012, we found the perfect home for our Mamas whānau.
